As Te Ira Kāwai – Auckland Regional Tissue Bank develops into a world-class tissue bank, it is supporting research to advance medical knowledge and practice, which will benefit future New Zealand patients.

Te Ira Kāwai - Auckland Regional Tissue Bank (ARTB) is a partnership between the University of Auckland and all three of the Auckland metropolitan DHB’s under a regional umbrella of shared governance, systems, processes and a single ethics approval.

Active engagement and participation by all these groups ensures long term utility, operational and financial viability of the Auckland Regional Tissue Bank.
