For healthcare professionals
Healthcare is rapidly evolving and it is only by providing easy access to world-class teaching and learning that professionals can be confident they have up-to-date skills and knowledge. The AAHA has a strong focus on this learning.
The Auckland District Health Board and the University of Auckland share a nationwide interest in the planning, training and employment of a highly performing healthcare workforce.
The Auckland Academic Health Alliance (AAHA) supports long-term workforce planning, development and retention of staff through joint ADHB-University strategies, especially appointment processes for senior positions.
AAHA continues to develop initiatives to foster a research-rich environment to attract and retain leading clinicians and academics.
ADHB staff are encouraged to consider research/clinical positions, and The University of Auckland offers ‘honorary’ academic positions to ADHB staff. For more information, visit our page for honorary academics and our page on scholarships and fellowships.
